The whole resort actually feels more like a national park and not so much like a hotel. So in this Koh Yao Noi resort, you will eat only organic food (they actually produce some of it themselves!), all buildings and furniture will be made from renewable materials, and even for outdoor activities there will be a noticeable emphasis on sustainability. The focus of Six Senses lies on sustainable luxury tourism. The Six Senses resort Koh Yao Noi belongs to the luxury hotel chain of the same name. What to expect at Six Senses Koh Yao Noi hotel My opinions are my own, as was the money that paid for my stay. I had no association with the Six Senses whatsoever when writing this review. Note: I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post. There is probably no better place to stay in Thailand if you are looking for solitude, breathtaking nature, a respite from the stress at home and responsible tourism. While Koh Yao Noi offers little in the way of infrastructure and major touristic attractions, it does offer a world class resort: The Six Senses Koh Yao Noi. On Koh Yao Noi, a small island in the middle of the Andaman Sea close to Phuket, you can still celebrate ennui in style (check out my travel guide to Koh Yao Noi). Recent years have seen a real tourism boom in the country that swept away all wishes for solitude. If you think of Thailand you might not think of lonely beaches and quiet nature. The Six Senses Koh Yah Noi luxury resort offers you both and more. A big respect for it really exemplary implementation of sustainability! Many hotels should take this as an example!Īs you might be able to tell: I cannot stop enthusing about this stunning resort.Experience the Phang Nga Bay in style and silence. Most food at Six Senses Yao Noi is produced locally. It doesn’t get better than that □Īlso when it comes to Sustainability Six Senses Yao Noi is definitely leading! For instance the hotel produces its own water, it has a farm with its own chicken and goats to produce eggs and utilize organic waste and there is a mushroom hut. Our trip was with a traditional long tail boat and we had the entire boat to ourselves. We decided to book the half-day tour to the North Islands of Krabi such as Hong Island. Thus, you definitely should book some Excursions there. The location of Yao Noi is really excellent. …the sunrises from the pool are also one of the most beautiful ones you have ever seen □ Therefore, waking up early is really worth it!īut also the other Food at Six Senses Yao Noi was more than amazing! I can recommend you trying out the Room Service at least once which we did several times and it was really excellent! I could have spent hours here □Ī secret tip of mine: You need to try out the Sunrise Breakfast! The food was not only super yummy… From the pool you have a real breath-taking view over Krabi. Very special is also the stunning Infinity Pool for which Six Senses Yao Noi is known. Thus, the hotel is really something special □ Als the German hotel manager and the sweet PR manager welcomed us so openly that we felt just like being home! The entire atmosphere at the resort is very warm. We had our own butler which was a pearl and turned all of our wishes into reality (such as a foam bath). We also recognized very positively the great Service of the Six Senses Yao Noi employees. We loved most our infinity pool, the outside shower and the bathtub with a view □ When we entered our villa and saw the view from there for the first time we almost couldn’t speak anymore □ Our villa was not only from the outside stuning but also from the inside. We very extremely lucky having been able to stay in the most likely most beautiful villa of the entore resort: An Ocean Panorama Pool Villa. The island is very tropical and the resort is simply stunning! Upon arrival we felt like being in another world. We stayed beforehand in Phuket so we took the speedboat from there to Six Senses Yao Noi which was only around 20 minutes. The hotel is located on the island Yao Noi which you can reach easily from either Phuket or Krabi. We’ve visited many hotels during our Thailand trip but one of our favorites (or maybe even our favorite in entire Thailand) was the Six Senses Yao Noi Resort.
